Wow. I don't think this will sit well with California voters, who have a special place in their hearts for bubba.

YouTube - Brown On Clinton Subtitled

Hey Jerry, all's fair in politics.

I wouldn't be calling Bubba to campaign for you btw.

Well, THAT was quick.

Jerry Brown apologizes to Clinton over comment - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100913/ap_on_el_gu/us_california_governor - broken link)

Quote:
Candidate for California governor Jerry Brown apologized Monday for taking a swipe at fellow Democrat and former President Bill Clinton over his relationship with Monica Lewinsky. His apology came a day after Brown said his Republican rival Meg Whitman is using Clinton footage from the 1992 Democratic presidential primary to lie about Brown in a current campaign attack ad.

Brown said he called Clinton's office and apologized to one of the former president's aides, not directly to Clinton.
Nice job Jerry.

President Clinton endorses Jerry Brown for Governor. Mr. Clinton said "the past is the past."
Clip:
“I agree with Jerry Brown that his opponent’s ad featuring a charge I made about his record on taxes in a 1992 debate was based on an erroneous CNN report and therefore the ad is misleading,” Mr. Clinton wrote. “Moreover the tough campaign we fought 18 years ago is not relevant to the choice facing Californians today. Jerry and I put that behind us a long time ago.”
