The Field Poll is about as well respected as you can get in California. Looks like the GOP will have to look somewhere else for any Senate pickups..

Quote:
Incumbent Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer appears to be fending off a strong challenge by Republican Carly Fiorina in California's U.S. Senate race, racking up an eight-point lead and getting strong support from independent voters, according to a new Field Poll.

With just four days to go in the campaign, the widely watched poll shows Boxer leading Fiorina 49 to 41 percent. Another 4 percent of likely voters favor other candidates, and 6 percent are undecided.

The longer this remains tight (for a CA race putting things into context), the more resources have to be diverted to these "safe" seats. This helps put Reid in a more precarious position considering he's -4 vs. Angle for the past 4 polls conducted. God bless America.

I have always thought she would pull it out, as she has done in elections before, but the scandal could hurt her this time, regardless of todays lead.

Shows just how stupid many California voters really are while lecturing to the rest of us how smart they are. Boxer has been a disaster but they don't care; she has a "D" after her name regardless of the harm she's done to her constituents.
