I didn't vote for him, but it is what it is. Getting all lathered up will not change a darn thing about it.
I dont have a child in school anymore, but if Scott intends to cut taxes as he said during the campaign, I cant help but think that schools are going to be one of the first things in the cross-hairs.

The people can always homeschool. Florida schools are terrible no matter how you slice it anyway so throwing more money isn't gonna solve the problem. Other states have done that to no avail, Florida will be no exception

I'm sure everyone that has full-time jobs will get right on that.
I would never have had the time, neither would my husband.
We were too busy trying to make a living while our child was in school.
And youre right, cutting school funding will make all the difference in the world, wont it?

Well that's the thought that crossed everyone's mind when No Child Left Behind (a very very bad law) was written and passed. Schools that don't meet satisfactory performance get their funding reduced more and more each year they don't. That's a federal requirement to receive K-12 funding. So they already do do that. Why do you think schools are performing badly? Certainly can't be a money problem can it? Because it seems no matter how much you increase spending, the quality of education keeps sliding further

I am outraged because I am the Mom of child with permanent disability, a daughter of a senior citizen, an advocate for the disabled of Florida, a native Floridian and a taxpayer . I would have been thrilled if our choices were between Alex Sink or Bill McCollum, that would have been a win/win situation. This is unconscionable, how in the world could anyone NOT be outraged in this state no matter what party Rick Scott is in?

LOL, whine and moan all you like. Scott is your governor for at least the next four years. Deal with it.

Did I utter one word about increasing school funding?
Tell me this, what are people with full-time jobs supposed to do while they are at work as far as their home-schooled children?
Day care?
Thats NOT the answer.

I will not deal with a criminal governor in Florida, neither will most Floridians.
