If there is anything nearly every American can agree on, I believe it is that NONE OF THE ABOVE should be added to every Presidential Ballot in 2012. The usual suspects need not apply.
This nation needs leadership, not dictatorship, not whimpyness, not egotist, but now is the time to heat the forge to mold a true national leader. Ladies and Gentlemen, I don't know who that leader is, but its not a devisive Obama, nor a wimpy McCain, even Palin (if a third party).
I think first and foremost we need a new Congress. A Congress made up of American's who understand our history, understands economics, and realizes that America needs to be reunited. Nothing will help that reunification like more jobs, less laws, and genuinely open governments, at every level whether a homeowners association or even the UN.

That sound fine but then what do you do? You have a ballot that has "none of the above" as a choice. This would probably win every time, then we start the process over again. Have you thought about the termoil we would be in or the cost to the tax payers?

No turmoil -- if the election itself did not produce a slate of electors from a given state, the state legislature would simply select a slate of electors.
And if state legislatures didn't do that, and if the Electoral College was unable to award any person 50%+1 of its votes? Then at noon EST on January 20 following an election year, the Speaker of the House would simply become President.
Of course, for the same reason that after contentious primaries, most people rally around party standard-bearers, most people would select the major-party candidate they liked best (or disliked the least).
Example: Nevada
In Nevada, None Of These Candidates does indeed appear as an option on ballots for President, and it has for the last nine elections. Guess how well it does? In 2008 it gained 0.65% of all votes. The best it has ever done was in 1976, when it gained a whopping 2.53% of votes. None of These Candidates - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Why do you say that it's not my call? Unless I live in Chicago, I have one vote just like every American citizen. If I live in Chicago or don't happen to be an American citizen, I may have more than one vote.

Disaster: you would end up with the state choosing based on the political leaning of the state, Sorry, no way do I want to see this happen. We have a democratic system, we have a chance to choose our candidates and from there we choose who get the nomination.
