Jonah Goldberg is saying this:

"...there’s growing buzz that Huckabee … may not run because he’s got a big new contract with Fox News in the works."

A brief of rundown of the 2012 White House wannabees | Analysis & Opinion | (http://blogs.reuters.com/james-pethokoukis/2010/12/22/a-brief-of-rundown-of-the-2012-white-house-wannabees/ - broken link)

He can't do both.

LOL at Huckabee hiding behind fox contracts.

Do republicans have ANYONE capable of running a campaign? I mean we all know all these clowns like Palin and Huckabee, but come on, a major party must have someone in the works? I mean besides that drunk Boehner they've just placed into the speaker's seat.

I hope he doesn't run. He is likeable and charasmatic but he didn't govern as a conservative when he was Governor of Arkansas. He was a fiscal liberal/moderate who raised taxes.

Worst of all he released several dangerous criminals from prison all in the name of Christianty. Several of the released criminals went on to attack more innocent vicims. Most tragically a group of Washingon state police officers were gunned down while eating breakfast by a criminal Huckabee released. His political competitors would be all over that and rightfully so.

I totally agree. In addition I think he was a nasty son of a gun on the campaign trail. I don't like him as a person. I think he's a phony.

jay, I usually agree with you on everything, but the prisoner thing is just not true. He did not release one single person. What you are referring to was the Ahole who went on to kill those cops about a year ago in Washington. What Huckabee did do was commute his sentence as well as others. This made them elegible for parole but he had nothing to do with their being released. That particular guy was just a kid. Did Huckabee make a mistake? Damn right he did, is he too moderate for me? In many ways yes, but the prisoner thing is not quite the way it happened. Too many do not realize that. Those of us in AR do.

That being said, I too do not particularly want him to run. I happen to enjoy his program when I get a chance to watch him, I happen to think he is pretty funny and has a great sense of humor, plus some good guests, but do I want him to be our Pres? No. I feel the same about Palin. I do not think either of them will run.

Nita
