Do you really think he will get the US Economy back to pre-2008 levels, Cut the jobless/Unemployment rate to say 4.5-5% and have a surplus in only a year or Two?
Be Honest now?

Which states do you think he will carry to get the nomination?
He will carry enough voters to get the nomination.this aint about states its about the next president to replace the idiot empty suit we have to endure for the next year and a half
IF he is voted into office will he be turned like the rest of them? We all know there are powerful forces, pulling strings in government, that we don't see. If he is elected, the real question is; Will he survive his first term?

No it's impossible to do that without destroying our economy. You can't fix something that took decades to make in just a matter of 2-3 years. However, I do believe Ron Paul would bring change no other Democrat or Republican can.

No, Ron Paul would be a lame duck president. If congress couldn't get a super majority to over ride him, he'd veto pretty much every bill. Such an inability for the federal government to function would probably send our economy plummeting further.
You're not thinking, folks. Keep trying.
Think of the money not spent to pursue the nonsense of national greatness through senseless expeditionary warfare. Think of those dollars instead being spent to rebuild this country's crumbling infrastructure, tending to countless other unfaunded federal programs, and think of the possibilities for revenue when trade is opened up to nations such as Cuba. Worst case scenario, we stop spilling American blood and treasure overseas for globalism.

probably not. his solutions are to long term problems, not next quarter, next year type thinking.

The federal government not functioning would be the best thing that's ever happened to this country. We'd actually pay the debt down without raising taxes and then phase out the income tax after the debt is paid off. I don't agree with Ron Paul's gold stance though. A gold-backed currency is not necessarily a good thing
