Guess he is afraid of going up against smarter competitors.

Live from South Carolina: GOP Presidential Forum - Erika Johnsen

I guess none of us should be surprised about that!

LOL! They are criticizing him for campaigning and not taking care of Texas and now they are criticizing him because he pulled out of the debate to take care of Texas.

He is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. LOL!

"The left"? I'd think his Republican competitors and their supporters (the OP being a Paul supporter, for example) probably stand to gain more than anyone on "the left" would for criticizing Perry for this.

Well, he refused to debate with Bill White, the Dem candidate for Governor in 2010 too. Debate with intelligent ppl is NOT his strong suit. He's much better with swagger and sound bites.

Just as the left messed their pants over Trump, Palin, and every other "great GOP hope" that came onto the scene amidst great acclaim from the C-D conservatives.

But sometimes incontinence is provoked by energetic laughter, you know.

If he is physically in SC already, how is leaving a few hours earlier going to make a difference with that? That can't be the reason. He's just chicken.
