Here goes one of my first started threads on the CD forums. Topic of discussion is for my personal interest. If there's already a thread on this topic, just point me in the right direction.

Democrats and liberals, I want to know what you think of Republican candidate Ron Paul, in as much or as little detail as you want.

And...go!

He is still a Republican, so his views will ultimatley fall short of a good progressive US and World, however he seems to be less in bed with Corporate America. If a Republican is going to win, Id hope it is him

Ron Paul actually has political principles, unlike the other candidates. He is an especially strong contrast to Mitt Romney, who flip-flops around more than a Mexican jumping bean.

I can't see him appealing to liberals at all. When taking a look at their issues, and their take on many of the Supreme Court decisions the past year, I can't see his lack of federal advocacy being appealing to their issues.
