Polling is showing that many would like Hillary to get the Dem nomination, and be next years Democrat candidate for POTUSA.

Slick Bill blushed (acting, as usual) when presented with that question yesterday on a TV Political program. Of course, Mr. Clinton played 'his role' of supporting Obama.

No mainstream candidate will run against Obama. They most certainly would lose and the Democratic party would not get behind them. This is a pipe dream of Republicans because they know they don't have a candidate that can beat him.

I just wish there was a Republican candidate that I could vote for...Huntsman maybe, but he really has no chance.

Actually, the Republicans just hope the do run Obama. They are pretty sure they can beat him. If they run somebody else, that gives them new hope...and CHANGE...lol.

Believe it or not, the Republicans really could care less, we are consentrating on choosing our candidate. Most people with a brain know 2 things: no one, at this stage will seriously challenge Obama and Hillary probably will never run again.

YOU mention this being a pipe dream of the Republicans, if I am not mistaking, those wanting to see a liberal candidate are the Ralph Naders, hardly right wingers.

Republicans would love to run against a far left wing Democrat because they would gain the independents and the moderates. Obama is a moderate and will win against a right wing Republican.

IMHO - the Democratic Party, also known as Republican lite, has pretty much eliminated any one left of center from consideration. The Democrats do not want to hear about a real Universal Health Care that eliminated any private insurance from the system. They do not want to cut military spending and dare not cross the international oil financiers by leaving Afghanistan to the Afghans. No way will modern Democrats even challenge Big Pharma's abuse of patents and copyrights, Gasohol subsidies to Agribusiness or Monsanto’s threat to public health.

The modern Democratic Party is not the party of Franklyn Roosevelt and certainly not what this country needs to fulfill its promise of "Equal Opportunity for All". For that to happen we need a populist party led by an honest version of Huey Long.

I am only in the Democratic Party because at the very center of the Republican Party are the corrupt financiers that brought us all these wars and the bailouts of 2008. I have no truce with Kings or any other form of pseudo royalty. The Republicans are American Royalty.

Obama's becoming a bit of a disappointment. He just doesn't have much of a ball sack, unfortunately, and it's to the point where he's becoming so politically confused over how to please conservatives that he's forgotten who helped put him in office. His base of support is, in all likelihood, going to be much smaller this time around. In a dream world, Obama would agree to step aside after one term and let Hillary Clinton run for office. I get the impression from Bill Clinton's interview last Sunday that this might not be entirely off the table, but time is running short.

Even as disappointed as I am with Obama, I still agree with him more than I agree with Republicans. I'd show up to vote just to keep them out of office.
