Ron Paul wins Ohio Republican straw poll | The State Column
Local GOP Straw Poll Gives Ron Paul A Majority | NBC 4i
Ron Paul racks up another big win - Washington DC Conservative | Examiner.com

Insider news from the straw poll per the RPF guys is that Cain had good organization too, and had a good turnout. In the end, Ron Paul supporters far outnumbered them all. There were guys/gals bedecked with Ron Paul gear everywhere.

If they were truly meaningless, then they would stop having them, the news outlets would stop reporting on them, and most importantly, the candidates would stop spending money on them.

Now alternatively, they definitely are not a direct correlation of national or even state wide support for a candidate, but they do absolutely prove the viability and organizational strength of a candidate. Those are two critical parts of winning a primary, so to say they are meaningless is a bit disingenuous.

Yeah, sure. Straw polls are absolutely meaningless if Ron Paul wins them. If anyone else wins them, then "OMG", "this is fantastic!", "the rise of a new GOP star!" and all that, right?

Without such sarcasm, how about you explain what part of that statement you disagree with and why?

Gingrich is the smartest! And probably has forgotten more about what it takes to be POTUSA than the rest know. But, he has so much 'baggage' and is Catholic.

I don't 'like' any of them.
