Yes...I stated that in my first post on this thread that you quoted:

One more reason I'd support Ron Paul in a heart beat...I really dont think people understand what their actions mean and entail. Granted the website belongs to an individual who has the right to run it the way that they do, but that is pretty barbaric to ban speech just because you dont agree with it.

Free Republic is a pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, pro-small government, pro-constitution, pro-liberty site. Governor Romney is none of the above. His record is that of an abortionist, gay rights pushing, gun grabbing, global warming advocating, big government, mandate loving, constitution trampling, flip-flopping liberal progressive with no core values. That and the fact that he is the chief architect and advocate for ObamaCare disqualifies him for any consideration whatsoever on Free Republic as a potential nominee for the presidency.

By their reasoning Paul should also be banned, since he a Libraterian and Tea Party guy and not really a Republican.
Oh wait, I see someone here claims they do.

Yes. In the same post, you also made the false claim that they were banning free speech. But they weren't-- the speech they're banning is not free speech, is not protected speech.

It is rather incoherent of you to make the dual claim that the speech being banned is free, or protected, speech, then to admit that said speech is not protected.

So, since you left a muddled, self-contradictory post, I clarified things!

That is funny that Romney is now the presumptive nominee and the most popular conservative site on the web has banned his supporters Can you imagine Daily Kos banning anyone who speaks in support of Obama? I'd love to know how Romney plans to win when so many far right conservatives hate him that one of the oldest conservative activism sites on the web, likely the origin of the Tea Party, has promoting the Republican candidate as a bannable offense Add that onto the libertarians fed up with the mainstream Republican party who voted McCain last time and are also fed up with the GOP. Pile on Latinos who won't vote for Romney. You got a dead duck with magic underwear

Which is funny considering they ban anyone critical of Obama, even from the left. In fact, that's why they began doing it.

Out of curiosity, do you know any conservatives? There is no evidence - personal, anecdotal, or empirical that suggests the party is not falling in line behind Romney the way they always have.

I do know a good number of conservatives, my family has more evangelical ignoramuses than I'd admit in person. I go thru great effort to avoid them so I couldn't tell you how they are voting and most can't vote since they aren't American citizens. The demographic of Free Republic is pretty far outside mine: rural evangelical white Christians when I am a Latino atheist liberal living in the inner DC suburbs. I really have no way personally of accurately gauging Republican America but it's telling and ominous that the most prominent conservative website in America rejects the Republican candidate.

At least you understand that you have no clue about what America is like outside your little sliver of liberal hell down in D.C.
