From the Washington Post:

The Herman Cain crack-up - The Washington Post

"He drank alcohol during public appearances, even in the morning"

If this really happens, wonder why its not getting more coverage.

The reputed drinking problem would go hand in hand with the harrassment incidents- alcohol does have an effect on judgment and inhibitions.

The problem with Cain is, he never was the outsider he posed as. He was a highly visible feature of DC for years as the president and main lobbiest for the National Restaurant Association. NUMEROUS people were apparently well-aware of Cain's "proclivities", but they didn't really become relevent till his unexpectant rise in the polls.

Now, since Cain's improbable rise to the front of the GOP pack, there is an imperative among the party to expose Cain now, rather than later, when the impact on the party would be even worse.

Cain's toast, and his own party did the job on him, out of self-defense.

For some reason the media and even Fox News wants him to be the candidate...perhaps to shoe that they are not racists.

Hmm, so now according to the liberal media he's a leacherous drunk. Man, it's tough being a black conservative.

think you had better watch a little more FOX if you really think they want him to be the candidate. It depends on what program you are watching.

give it time: if the sex scandel dies down and he is still ahead or near the top of the polls someone will make a big deal out of this. It is bad enough to have a strong GOP candidate but to think he is black and a conservative is more than the liberal media can handle.
