He's underwater in FL. In Colorado the vote on raising taxes that went down in flames is a good indication of how well his message of more spending, higher taxes will go over.

His approval rating is underwater in NC too.
No Virginia is important, but it is not key. Obama is way up in Ohio and Ohio + the Kerry/Gore states is all he really needs for 270. Anything else is gravy. On top of that I guess you haven't been paying all that much attention, but the Democrats scheduled their convention in Charlotte, North Carolina, basicially if they win NC it is over and Obama is doing reasonably well in NC compared to nationally.

I just remember you remarking in 2008 that America was not ready for a black president. You based that on comments made by a black person other than Obama.

Are you still of that opinion?

You're assuming states like WI, PA and MI are a done deal for obama. Meanwhile, he's underwater in all three I believe.

Obama may be up in OH now, based on the union win there, but the repudiation of obamacare in that same state on the same night is an indication that just as in 2010, obamacare will hurt him in 2012.

In Michigan Obama is Up by 11% on the nearest challenger. (see post #39)
As to Wisconsin and PA. With the exception of one poll showing Perry doing well in Wisconsin with all other Republicans losing I have not seen a PA or WI poll since July showing any Republican beating Obama in either of those states and aside from the one with Perry winning but all other Republicans losing in WI I don't think I have even seen a poll where a Republican held a lead in WI.

Once more people in Ohio have huge buyers remorse about 2010. That will definitely factor in to 2012. Not only in Ohio, but almost certainly in Michigan, Wisconsin, and even possibly Arizona as well seeing as all three states have witnessed successful recalls against TP members of the legislature.

Was America ready for a black president?

Recalls have not done squat to shift the balance of power.

Right on the first, wrong on the rest. There was nothing historic about any of the last 3.

Historic - GOP taking both chambers and the top 3 positions of the state house - first time in 140 years - HISTORIC.

Unions getting to keep, for now, the status quo on CB, after suffering loss after loss, in state after state, over the last several years - NOT historic.

Historic - GOP taking both chambesr of the MS legislature, first time in 140 years - HISTORIC.

See the difference? You need to check up on the definition of historic.
