absentee ballots typically favors the GOP so this is not good for republicans.
The DOD is supposed to help them get ballots.
It is very plausible that the Obama administration may be trying to suppress the military vote. That's not something I would be proud of if I were an Obama supporter.
It would be a very logical conclusion that they are. Obama, his administration, and his campaign didn't have a problem with a group supporting them alleging that Romney caused a woman to die of cancer. We know Obama's character.

The OP's link says military absentee ballot REQUESTS are down, not the ballots themselves.
It's not like anyone is conspiring to suppress the military vote- voter suppression is the GOP's game, not the Dems.
Maybe the problem is Romney- the servicemen and women can't get excited about voting for someone who never served, whose five sons never served, and who appears to be big-mouthing the US onto the fast track to a war with Iran.
Seems like a more likely explanation than your conspiracy theory.

My son is serving overseas. It took him two months to receive an absentee ballot. I doubt it will be counted.
