Black men must be virtually perfect in the right's eyes when attempting to secure a job traditionally held by white men. If he's not perfect (which is impossible) they'll seek to delegitimize him..See Obama and Steele.
it wasn't the Christian White that ruined him: anything but, it was the media and by that I mean the left wing media. The only part you got right, is the part about a black Republican. The left can't stand them...
We don't agree on much, but I had to rep you for this...

It was the media that made him pay settlements in alleged harrassment cases? The media really gets around.
Nobody forced Cain to quit, he did it himself. I sometimes wonder there was more that was going to come out and he knew it.
Newt? Maybe he figured it was all a long time ago and not as big a deal as a result. After all, the woman claiming to be Cain's mistress, that was recent, right?
Cain stepped down due to what were new allegations. Cain made that choice for personal reasons which was probably a good choice. Newt paid a price in public opinion when his were revealed - twenty years ago and still today. However, people didn't like the attempt to bring up a twenty year old personal situation to use against him as though it were anything but an attempt at a politcal smear. If you remember, people defended Cain the same way when the allegations came out. Your attempt to stear the conclusions in a particular direction is flawed because the facts don't support it.

That is just not true and you know it!!! It's the left regardless of color that can't stand a conservative black person. Shall we start naming a few that have been quite successful: Thomas Sowell, Condi Rice, JC Watts, Alan West, Colin Powell, and the list goes on and on. What happened with Steele had nothing to do with his color. It had more to do with some of things he did and he wasn't effective...
While I don't qualify as a conservative, much less support either Cain or Newt, but here's a reason that I see:
Cain: A useful idiot.
Newt: Makes them all look like idiots.

It was the media that ruined him and as for settlements, the only one that was even slightly documented, he did not pay, check again to see who paid the settlement. The quesion BTW is why is Newt getting away with this and Cain couldn't. it isn't who was right or wrong.

Seriously, I am offended...Blacks didnt like Cain because of his bufoonery..To say that Blacks didnt like him because he was a black republican, is just silly...If Condi, or Colin Powell would run, they would have overwhelming support from Blacks...When you make dumb statements, and quote Pokemon, that is what it gets you...Cain was nothing more than the male Sarah Palin. He made no attempt to brush up on foreign policy or anything. He was on a book tour which caught fire, and he was in way over his head...
