Noblesse oblige should not be mistaken for connecting or caring about the plight of the poor and low income in America (1/2 of the population now, BTW).

The Republican party is breaking up. Trump has hastened the process. Oh Happy Day! What remains will be the center right party that existed before the Tea's took over. Maybe by 2016 or 2020 the Republicans will be able to field a reasonable slate of candidates who don't have to flip-flop on their principles or pander to the wings nuts to win a primary.

Liberal academics are always widening the scope of who is poor. Half of the country is not poor, period.

No good deed goes unpunished.

Here's another crazy thought. Woman at Romney event asks for help. He opens his wallet and gives her money on the spot. He gets hated on for not giving her enough right then and there, even though he gave additional help later. Most wealthy people are wealthy because they have good monetary habits and one of those is not having very much cash in their wallet. What if that was all the money he had at the time? If it was, it wouldn't surprise me. If I have $10 on my person it's a very rare thing.

Romney makes about $21 million a year off of his investments. 25%-30% of his income goes to charity. That's a lot more than you get a tax deduction for and it's a lot bigger piece of the pie than any other candidate is doing. Most of them offer up a token 2% or 3%. Much of that money goes to LDS Church Welfare which help poor Mormons and non-Mormons alike all over the world with close to zero overhead going to pay employees since it's a volunteer based charity. According to Mitt Romney, if you total his taxes with charitable contributions, it comes out to 40% of his income. What's to hate about that?

If he was getting a huge tax break for all that charity, his effective tax rate would not be anywhere close to 15% -- the maximum tax on long term investments in 2010 and 2011. His effective tax rate was 14% if I remember correctly. So why give away 25-30% of your income for a 1% tax break?

Yeah ... he did it for the tax break. Right.

I said poor and low income. The source is the liberal academics at the US Census Bureau. Reaganomics has turned us into a third world nation of haves and have-nots. Believe.

Okay, Fox News just broke the story that Mr Trump is going to be endorsing Mitt Romney and not Newtered.

I suppose it just makes sense. The only reason anyone every wanted Trump was because he was a savvy successful businessman. So endorsing somebody who has the same upside as you kinda makes sense.

Isn't it strange? Every time Romney gets an endorsement, everyone's reaction is essentially, "Oh ... okay. Nevermind."

Not surprising. I didn't expect him to back anyone else.
Actually, as Debbie W Schultz says, the "Bugs Bunny" endorsement is kind of meaningless. Appears now the Thumper will call on Romney to repay him by appearing on his Apprentice show after he loses in Nov.

Sad that you would quote anything the she-beast Schultz says as having meaning.

The endorsement by Trump is great news for Romney! One step closer to getting rid of the pathetic slugs we currently have occupying the white house.
