I was too young to vote for Carter, Tall -- I was four when he left office. I also think GHWB was one of the better presidents we've had in recent history. Still, I voted for Carter. Both men are too old now to be president, but presuming they were still young and healthy enough to handle the office, I think Carter would do the better job in today's climate. I think he would work double time to redeem his legacy.

GHWB would probably just be more of a tool of the rightwing extremist plank of his party. I think that's the lesson he would take away from his first term -- don't be so pragmatic. Don't look for workable solutions that everyone could agree on. Instead, feed the Maoist beast, lest you fall victim again to the Republican Cultural Revolution.

Again?

Neither. I voted against Carter and for Bush. But I wouldn't vote for him again, more than likely. His record was mediocre.
