Rules are rules, you know. And apparently this rule is spelled out quite clearly for any candidate running in the State of Wisconsin: giving voters any item worth more than a dollar in value is ILLEGAL!
Quote:
The Democratic Party of Wisconsin is alleging that Republican presidential frontrunner Mitt Romney and U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan committed election bribery by offering "subs for votes” in Waukesha on Tuesday.
Did the unions bus them in too? Oh wait, that Obama.
Really and buy them cigarettes and pay them actual money. The Democrats are pros at vote buying. They wouldn't are use anything as silly as a sub...lol They seem to be crazy and desperate though. This is a Republican primary and the Democrats want it investigated???? They better clean up their own issues.

STILL against the law! And SOMEONE must have known it and Romney SHOULD have known it.
Of course, it's entirely possible Romney DID know and chose to ignore it. Is that OK?
He does have that "entitlement" thing going on - most likely doesn't think the rules apply to him.
Cousin's subs gave out free subs. Romney and Ryan were the mediums through which they were handed to the people, but it wasn't their subs to give out. If Romney owns Cousin's subs, then we got something.
Apparently the Government Accountability Board has declined to investigate, stating that it's a criminal matter.
You would think that Ryan, at least, being from Wisconsin and having campaigned there before, would have had to have been aware of this law.
Of course, there is always the possibility the two of them feel they are above the law.
I guess this crime is punishable by as much as three years in prison.
Bye, bye, Mittens. Don't bend over to pick up the soap - not a good idea.
He didn't say they committed a crime. He said it would be a criminal matter to investigate whether they did or not. Let's let the Prosecutor decide this one.

You know that for a fact? That the restaurant wasn't reimbursed by the Romney campaign? Or by someone in Ryan's camp?
Come on - you all know if this were President Obama buying votes, you all would be all over this like stink on s**t.
And then, to top it off, you'd find some way to call it "race baiting."

No I wouldn't, I showed his wife illegally electioneering to make a counter-point, but I could care less personally. I don't remember caring at the time either
And again, I don't care in the above situation either. The two links above are more serious than the "sub scandal" since they involve the financing of a campaign.
