Romney shouldn't release them unless the IRS demands it. Screw everybody that insists he does.

And if this were the least bit true, why wouldn't Reid or anybody else actually report this to the IRS? Because there's nothing to report. Just a bunch grown men acting like tween girls spreading rumors about the new and more popular girl in town is what it is.
An excellent post worthy of being repeated.

Where is Reid's proof? Have YOU or Reid seen the tax returns in order to make such a claim?

Just because Reid says "someone told me" is not very much proof.

If I said,"Someone told me you are beating your wife". Is that proof that you are beating your wife?

Those that make the claim, in this case Reid, are responsible for backing it up, let HIM prove it.
Romney could disapprove it if it is wrong but he is not. Why???

There is nothing there except lots of commas in his taxable income and taxes paid. Big deal.
Once again, if it is just a lot of money, why doesn't he release them? We all KNOW that Romney's wealth is hundreds of millions of dollars.

Romney isn't hiding anything. Romney isn't lying about anything.

Harry Reid IS!

If Reid has proof, he should report it to the authorities instead of playing politics to help the campaign efforts of his grand larcenous leader.

Romney could do the right thing but he chooses not to so we have to wonder why!

Morons who think Mitt is hiding something need to report it to the IRS. IRS pays big bucks for catching tax thieves.
It was. That is why there was an amnesty that Mittens might have been a part of....

Did Mitt Romney Take the 2009 Swiss Bank Account Amnesty

Wealthy U.S. taxpayers, concerned about an Internal Revenue Service crackdown on the use of secret overseas bank accounts as tax havens, are rushing to meet a Thursday deadline to disclose those accounts or face possible criminal prosecution. The concern was triggered this summer when Switzerland's largest bank, caught up in an international tax evasion dispute, said it would disclose the names of more than 4,000 of its U.S. account holders.

Romney's tax returns: Is the 2009 Swiss bank account amnesty what he doesn't want us to see?

The fact that Governor Romney is willing to endure the kind of political beating he's taking on this issue, rather than just release the returns and take perhaps one or two bad news cycles, is really a head-scratcher. We already know he's very wealthy, and few voters hold that against him. From the one partial return he's released, we know his effective tax rate in that year was lower than that paid by many middle-class working families. We already know those things, and most of us don't hold it against him. Mitt Romney didn't make the rules, after all.

So why won't he release his returns and score a HUGE political win?

It's quite possible people will be stupid enough to focus on a side issue like this and vote for Obama. They were stupid enough before. I'm sure most of them are still around.

Reid has been put up to do this, maybe with the promise of something to motivate him. He doesn't realize how bad this makes him look. The Dems want this so badly just so they can go over it with a fine tooth comb and find something that they can make another issue out of.

Nothing more important to the country's future and its citizens that you can think of to wonder about?
Must be nice in blissville.
