We've all noticed it. Or at least those of us that care have. The others are too busy in their dream world denying it ...not paying attention to reality of how out country is rapidly falling thru the tubes -- like most of my relatives whom I sent a link to the Reuters story about how our trigger happy Navy saw fit to fire a barrage of gunfire at poor defenseless Indian fisherman who were simply fishing in their own waters ! Our Navy was in their space. Yet since we are the mean bullies as other countries see us, they know we will try to pick fights wherever we can (and we've been fortunate they haven't retaliated but how much more bullying can they take). How much safer to you feel knowing THIS is our overall foreign policy?

Heh every family has that one relative who has the lethal combination of mistakenly considering themselves more informed than everyone else and who enjoys sending emails with links. This is a case of two sides saying different things, the US that they gave both non-lethal warning and warning shots, the Indian fisherman saying they didn't receive a warning. The US Navy certainly has the right to defend itself from boats that approach to close, the US Cole incident being an obvious example why. If we pick fights wherever we can there would be a lot more little fishing boats on the bottom of the ocean floor than this one that approached our ship.
Also = Their own waters? When did India buy the waters of Dubai?

Yes I feel safer that our citizens and sailors take the proper precautions and follow established self defense procedures when passing thru a volatile region of the world.
