You seem to be forgetting the role of the U.S. Congress when it comes to appropriating monies. It's with the Congress you have your argument. The GOP-controlled U.S. House ... specifically. That's a Civics 101 answer.

If the returns weren't a problem, the Romneys would have released them already. The most likely explanation is that something in them would be so politically damaging that he won't be able to overcome it. I find it doubtful that he's done something illegal, but he could have paid zero taxes some years, he could have made investments that could be viewed as not exactly in America's best interests, etc--the list goes on. He's betting that it will be politically easier to survive not releasing the returns than releasing them. The people in his inner campaign circle and the Romneys themselves know exactly what's in the returns, and they're keeping quiet. The conservatives calling for him to release more info aren't people in that circle.

"You people"? I guess they feel they are better than the rest of the us common folk.
Cool, but I could have used something more sleazy than 'you people' for Robin Givens and her ilk. If you thought she was referring to the common citizen then you people need to get a grip on your egos.

You know what Steinbeck said about Americans, “Socialism never took root in America because the poor see themselves not as an exploited proletariat but as temporarily embarrassed millionaires.” ...

Don't expect a repeat of 1980. Ronnie Regan was an actor and knew how to woo an audience. Mitt Romney is a rich frat rat all grown up, but without any pizzass. Nope, definitely not 1980.

p.s. Carter missed on the Iran-Contra affair. Obama got Osama.

Ann Romney says 'given all you people need to know' on taxes

Talk about a poor choice of words, wow. This really speaks to how the Romney's see us Americans. We are "you people", the low-lifes, trailer trash, and/or the dregs of society.

If we Americans are "you people" to the Romney's then what does that make them?

I can only hope that the "you people" are smart enough to deny these elitist scum "their turn". Ann Romney seems like she is secretly working for the Obama campaign based on all of the stupid stuff that she says everytime the camera is on.
