Yep - that's all we hear from the liberals. Isn't it? It's a broken record. They can't accept that Obama is a failure as a president. Obama has nothing to run on, so it's all about deflection - for him and his campaign and for his supporters (though he and his campaign have not blamed racism). You left off ATM's, airline self-check-in kiosks, the Japanese earthquake, and plenty of other things that have been blamed.

Obama won't be able to outperform approval in the mid 40's enough to win re-election. No incumbent running for re-election since 1980 has outperformed his approval at all. Even if he can outperform it by a few points, his approval is probably going to have to come up if he's going to win.

Of course the Romney campaign needs to do a lot more. I am very frustrated with how it's being run.

Both Obama and Romney have a long way to go to win.

With no toss ups

Look at the RCP map with tossups

Also look at the New York Times map...

The Electoral Map - Presidential Race Ratings and Swing States - Election 2012 - NYTimes.com

Obama 217, Romney 206

217 is a long way from 270.

Are you going to tell me that the New York Times is now akin to some right-wing blog?

Let's look at Obama's approval in the battleground states (including some states that RCP, the NYT, and TPM have given to Obama)...

I'm shocked that Romney is polling as well as he is given the spending discrepancy so far. Not to mention how brutal some of the anti-Romney ads have been and the (less numerous) anti-Obama ads have been far more tame.
And OBoy wanted to do away with SuperPacs. Until he evolved.
