Conservative WAPO columnist Kathleen Parker calls Paul Ryan out on "omissions" in his big speech last night (that's putting it mildly). Parker wonders, doesn't Ryan think people are going to check his facts???

She specifically notes Ryan failed to mention:

1) Ryan proposed cuts in Medicare IDENTICAL in size to Obama's.

2) Ryan was ON the Simpson/Bowles commission, and he himself voted AGAINST it's "urgent recommendations"

3) the downgrade in US credit rating directly followed the Debt Ceiling Showdown, led by none other than Paul Ryan.

Kathleen Parker: Romney and Ryan, running against themselves - The Washington Post

Parker also takes Romney to task for, well, being a phony!

Note, Kathleen Parker is NOT a liberal, or even a moderate. She has impeccable conservative credentials. Her purpose in this column is to express concern that, by being dishonest and misrepresenting their arguments, Mitt and Mini Mitt are jeopardizing the GOP's chances in the election.

Rather insulting, isn't it. It was his first major speech. Like people aren't going to go through it with a fine-tooth comb.

Parker left out the Welfare lie, and the Janesville plant lie.

How can we expect that, a new administration FOUNDED on lies and distortions, is going to end happily for the American people?

Miss Kathleen wasn't listening. The fact checkers have been fact checked and found to be wrong.

Yup, Kathleen is a neo-con, a fake-con, a plant, yadda yadda.

And the media is so liberal, they can't be trusted.

A lot will ride on tonight. If Mitt looks like a stiff, he's probably done.

Great post. You have to wonder--if they'll lie about the things they have over the last few days, what else would they lie about if they ever got into power?
