You cant do a lot of things without having to invade.
I agree, I didn't get the feeling at all that he was advocating war.

Yes, and we don't need to be. We currently have a military presence in approximately 170 countries worldwide. It's just ridiculous for someone to advocate that and then turn around and claim to be a "fiscal conservative."

That is half the problem. Economically, in a modern world; that puts
the US at a disadvantage.....
Morally, is another story.

We attacked Libya with drones and killed innocent civilians. I think that is bad enough.

It puts us at a disadvantage Economically AND Morally. You don't spend American Tax dollars on killing people or put troops in harms way or kill other country's civilians when they have done NOTHING to us.

Maybe Obama really deserved that Nobel Peace Prize just for keeping this warmonger out of office I think the Tea Party is deluded in thinking McCain would've spent less than Obama, turning the entire Middle East into a war zone may be just a wee bit more expensive than domestic spending initiatives. Is this what we can expect from a Romney presidency? He has mentioned nothing about foreign policy.

Transcript of John McCain's speech at the RNC | Fox News
John McCain may be the most vile, bloodthirsty neocon left in any position of power.

Quote:
“Contemplate the mangled bodies of your countrymen, and then say 'what should be the reward of such sacrifices?' Bid us and our posterity bow the knee, supplicate the friendship and plough, and sow, and reap, to glut the avarice of the men who have let loose on us the dogs of war to riot in our blood and hunt us from the face of the earth? If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!”- Samuel Adams.
That's all I have to say to John McCain, Condi Rice, Mittens, Paul Ryan, Obama, Bush, etc.

I worded that wrong. I meant to say Morally, War mongering falls under unjust war principle - another
topic - i.e. another story.... I agree with you

Republicans have been brainwashed to believe in order to have peace we must be in endless wars.
Peace thru strength has become war is peace.
Which is not what Reagan meant with peace thru strength.

Democrats have also fallen into this mindset for global socialist and war agendas.

Those of the cold war era think when we cut military spending Russia is going to "out spend us" or something or like we are losing a spending war to keep up with someone else.

Republicans are basically scared like children who need to feel safe and more weapons, and even if we are spending money on nonsense and call it miltiary spending they can't lose their security blanket.

just as democats can't lose their social safety nets and wasteful spending in government.

BOth partys are slaves to fear of which only brings us closer to war is peace and 1984 style government.
