Please note that I don't have a dog in the fight. I'm voting for Gary Johnson. Anyway, I learned, AFTER doing this map, that West Virginia is overwhelmingly Republican in presidential elections so I shift WV to Red. Other than that minor correction, this is MY electoral map:

My election prediction:

Romney 650 electoral votes
Obama -12

Especially after last night's sterling GOP clown display.

Your basically saying Romney is going to sweep almost every swing state. It's going to be extremely difficulty for Romney to take Florida, Colorado, NC, NV, and Ohio. Not saying it can't happen, just going to be hard. Same goes for Obama, I don't see Obama taking all of them

Romney will take all those states. People are back to their senses.

Well if that's the case, using your logic, Romney should take at least 40-50 states, do you really believe that?

Add two states to the 2000 Electoral Map. That is what it will look like.

So you think Obama will roughly win no more than 10 or 12 states?

Now that I don't believe. This race will be close, there will be no landslide, sorry you are mistaken.

Looks like a reasonable projection of a spectacle largely lacking in reason.

I would expect the Romney ticket to win, despite the fact that the Veep poster boy is an obvious prevaricator. He could even be the Koch brother's Manchurian Candidate, but it matters not. The citizenry is largely a herd of mental adolescents, and they will be screwed no matter who they send to the White House, or Congress for that matter.

Romney and Ryan will be a rerun of Bush II and Cheney, with maybe even Condi Rice thrown in, just in case we don't get the point.

Obama will go down in the books as just another one in the string of Emperors, beginning with Reagan, who BSed their way through our imperial decline with more circuses than bread. The Reagan principate began with a gift of splendid, expensive dinnerware for the White House, Ryan will probably influence Romney to opt for symbolic linoleum floors for the place.

And the band will play on.

Johnson voter, no dog either.

I would be shocked if Romney wins though. His team sucks. How he made it out of the primaries even still amazes me.

Axelrod, like Rove before him, knows how to win. Romney is a Kerry redux with even more baggage i.e. Obamneycare. No conservative in their right mind would support anyone with Romney's fiscal record. The only ones who back him are the party loyalists. Anyone who is actually conservative would never back a Romney presidency.
