According to the Dems there will be severe weather conditions tomorrow with lots of ground lightening.
When I checked weather.com it said 20% chance of PM thunderstorm.

Schumer Doesn't Know Obama's Position on Israel?
Schumer's right, it isn't important...A lot of righties are under the impression the American president decides what Jerusalem is Anyway God and Jerusalem are back in the platform, wish they didn't feel the need to pander to religious people and Zionists but there you go.

Weather Underground is a good place to get the answer to the weather question.

A dry heat blowing from downtown, with a tedious stench in the air, slightly diminished by return of a God and Jerusalem freshener.

Yes, I'll have to agree here, as the Constitution only prohibits the CONGRESS (federal government) to make laws for, or against religion. States were still free to make laws regarding religion, and places like NH had State Consititution mandated that every able bodied man had to attend church on Sundays. This went on fo decades after the 1st amendment became law. Then the 14th amendment changed all that.

It was Jefferson who spoke about "wall of separation", but that was only his personal view, and not a law.

There are idiots on all sides.
That said, I'm happier with a group debating and discussing and actually building a platform rather than being lock-stepped into one.

Let's get back to the topic of the thread. i think it dealt with the fact that the Democrats didn't have the word God in their platform.

THE WORD IS BACK IN AND MANY DELEGATES ARE MORE THAN JUST A LITTLE PISSED.

A very political voice vote was used today to insert the wording in the platform. It is really funny to hear the way they did it. The platform committee decided too much heat came from their omission so they put it to a vote, aye to put it back, and no to keep it out. The noes won the vote so they just did it again. The noes won even more the second time and the presiding officer declared the ayes the winner and the word is back in again.

Lets hear all you left leaners comment on this.

It was coined by Thomas Jefferson and should be understood. Govt. is NOT about religous belief and GOD is not manditory in any political convention.
To not mention God is the way to go as God has nothing to do with our Politics............ simple.
As i said before............ anyone wants to hear about God........ go to church, NOT a political convention.

You heard wrong, unless you think clear = thunderstorms. " Isolated thunderstorms in the evening"
