Nearly eveyone knew that Obama would win in 2008 and that the GOP was going to gain in 2010. There must have been a 100 million or so that predicted that.

You're right, he just made lucky guesses about races all around the country during both election cycles.

What exactly were Silver's predictions in 2010? The GOP gained 63 house seats, and the way I remember it, nobody was predicting that. Was Silver the lone guy who did? If so, yes, his cred skyrockets. But again, as I recall, NOBODY predicted what actually happened in 2010.

I think he predicted that the GOP would win on the low end 50 seats and as many as 70 seats on the high end.

By the time the exit polls have been released for the midwest and east, people on the west coast will realize that it is mathematically impossible for Obama to win, which may suppress liberal voters. It is quite possible that Romney could do the unthinkable- win CA, OR, or WA.

When Romney wins, the liberals will never understand how it could have happened. They simply don't understand that the balance of the country wants lower unemployment, better wages, higher savings, and less debt. Gay marriage is issue #336.
So you are saying you live in la-la land? Romney would have to win it all to beat Obama in this election, so basically Romney has to work harder on every front to hope to have even the slightest chance of winning.

Obama is set to speak tomorrow. They had a stadium all picked out, only they cancelled that venue "conveniently" and are claiming it's because of a "weather" issue. The fact is that they are busing in spectators from all over North Carolina as well as from out of state to fill the new "smaller" venue.

Sad.
Is the NYT really that liberal leaning? They had an article today about how Obama is trying to persuade Ohio voters that he's responsible for making things better in their state, but the article also pointed out how much their Republican governor Kasich has been also working hard to improve things. The article seemed to be a little more supportive of that Republican governor than Obama... or at least suggesting that Obama shouldn't be trying to take all of the credit for Ohio's improvements.

Did Barak Obama Save Ohio?

Quote:
It was a Monday afternoon in July. Kasich had started out his day at a predominantly African-American church in Cleveland, where he signed a bill making it easier for ex-felons to get work.

That will be in November. At that time, you will come to understand that the American public demands a competent president, not one who can read a teleprompter.
