The pollster libs are now swearing by Nate Silver FiveThirtyEight was not even accurate enough for the Daily Kos, which officially dropped him

DAILY KOS
I have decided to part ways with our current pollster Nate Silver , and will be looking for a new polling partner. The decision was made on the results of Nate Silver's new pollster rankings.

Ooooh, breaking news, that - June 9th 2010.

There's just one or two slight problems with that great coup of yours:

Nate Silver and Kos parted ways because Kos felt that Nate Silver's critique of the polling company Research2000 was unmerited. However, a few weeks later, Kos came around to Nate's way of thinking, and ended up writing a scathing criticism of Reasearch2000:

Daily Kos: More on Research 2000

Quote:
While the investigation didn't look at all of Research 2000 polling conducted for us, fact is I no longer have any confidence in any of it, and neither should anyone else. I ask that all poll tracking sites remove any Research 2000 polls commissioned by us from their databases. I hereby renounce any post we've written based exclusively on Research 2000 polling.
Then, of course, Kos went and sued Research2000, who eventually settled.

So - far from pointing out a problem with Nate Silver's methodology, you've went and done the exact opposite: Kos was initially wrong, Research2000 was in fact delivering bogus results, and Nate Silver correctly identified them as having a problem.

They're not new. Your citation is from 2010.

It's really not enough to post a link. You should probably read it as well.

Your definition of new is 2 years old? What...in dog years?

Oh--SNAP.

Consider yourself spanked.

I guess reality does have a skewed liberal bias to some.

Silver dropped a pollster who was consistently off. That pollster was one consistently used by Kos. Kos took exception to this, eventually coming around to what Silver said, that the pollster was not conducting their polls correctly.

Silver will call out a poll that leans either way, that's what cons can't stand about him. He's a pure numbers guy who doesn't let his political bias get in the way of those numbers.

The OP still doesn't get that his headline is completely wrong.
"Election pollster Nate Silver FiveThirtyEight not even accurate enough for the Daily Kos"
