18 states that are either red or blue all the way aren't going to release exit polls this year. How are we to find out how many votes 3rd party candidates get in each state if they don't show the exit polls? Maybe I am missing something here...
Well, at least it's not the swing states. I was worried something fishy was up, but as long as they are really solid one way or the other that's not as bad.

They are produced by the same conglomerate(the govt owned Big 6/Edison/NEP). They don't really matter anyway. They will probably just display the central feed.
In 2004 the polls deviated by a huge margin. All they did is conform the polls.
The state I just moved from is on the list. I can't say I blame them, that state is so red presidential candidates don't even bother to do hardly any ads after the primary, let alone come visit. We have occasionally gotten a candidate's wife to come. I just moved to a swing state - I have to admit I kind of miss my solid state during prime time. Those ads get annoying quick.
Can't remember any time I 'needed' to know the results of exit polls. Usually I go to bed and when I wake up the results are still the same as if I had heard every single possible number the day of the election.
