I respect you guys for knowing not to go for Dukakis despite him picking Benson as his running mate. However, I'm amazed by how gullible you people are when it comes to party affiliation. Romney is carbon copy of Mike Dukakis. Don't let the (R) fool you. Also, since he got the media to turn on Rick Perry, you people should have more incentive to deny Romney your 30 plus electoral votes which would render Romney's campaign hopeless.

As to the argument he's better than Obama: well, a). He's only in for another 4 years and b). he's more conservative than Romney if you read between the lines.

You mean "the Carter in the whitehouse" who happens to have brought us out of the depression we were in, despite the repeated blocking of his jobs bills (among many, many others) by the Republicans, who were trying to slow growth just for political gain?

Not to mention "the Carter in the Whitehouse" who captured and killed Bin Laden, something Bush couldn't do in two terms. If memory serves me right, Romney was critical of that mission, so it's not far fetched to say Romney wouldn't have accomplished that feat even if he had two full terms.

Lets go back in history shall we? Who controlled the whitehouse and congress for the first two years of this administration? The republicans couldn't block a ant. The first stimulus was such a roaring success I can't imagine why the elephants didn't want to pass a second one.

Your memory is as corrupt as the federal government. Rommney criticized the politicizing (in his mind) of the raid not that it happened.

The Republicans still had enough members in the Senate in all but the first year of the Obama Administration to launch fillibusters which is exactly what they did. All you need is 40 members to fillibuster anything the other two and a half branches come up with.

Nice Try

Nobody within the Obama Administration politicized the raid. They might have taken credit(as well they should have) but it was never politicized. Let's face it, Romney's worst nightmare was the success of this mission. Well, that and today's job report in which unemployment is under 8%. Let me guess, the numbers were cooked..

Seems to me that there is some trolling going on by someone from another state ripping Texans, posting about something that is utterly ludicrous.

The mods should move this thread to the Politics board or shut it down. There is nothing constructive that will come from this. Just another poster trying to pick a fight.

I'm not trolling..I'm just trying to figure out how a state that rejected Dukakis in 1988(and rightly so) is willing to vote for a carbon copy simply because he has an (R) instead of a (D) next to his name.
