Should be an interesting debate.

I recall Biden shipping Palin painfully in 2008. However, Ryan is telegenic, smooth, and quick. I suspect that Ryan will be much more forceful than Palin, and half the country will swoon over his looks, though I also suspect he will sell a bunch of bs. He came by his nickname, well...dishonestly. It will be interesting to see if the old dude can point out the lies, and make some points of his own. He did a good job at the DNC, and he exudes a Reaganesque warmth and optimism. Or will the old dude make some spectacular gaffs and flame out miserably?

Either way it should be a good debate!

I suspect you're right...Ryan will look like a Lion during the debate. Biden...fresh meat! OK, maybe stale, old, stinky meat, but meat, anyway. I'm betting that Biden starts out fast...

Never run into a tree - YouTube

but pulls a Biden and pulls a gaff.

A Mormon, a Christian whom some people think is a Muslim, and two Irish-Catholics walk into a bar...

First, Paul Ryan looks like Eddie Munster--I don't imagine there will be much swooning plus obviously lying about something as simple as your time in a marathon, or how many you've run, isn't exactly "swoon worthy." It's like he's some creep at a bar exaggerating and trying to pick up women. What is this BS about "swooning" anyway. That's not giving women voters much credit.

As for the rest, Biden just needs to attach Romney firmly at the hip to Ryan, and make it clear what that means for the American people. The Ryan pick was an act of desperation on the part of the Romney campaign when they were afraid they wouldn't get the tea party end of the base to support him during the convention. They've been trying to hide him ever since, or at least keep him from talking about the Ryan policy agenda, and I'm betting that picking him as VP will turn out the be the biggest mistake of his campaign.

As Grover Nordquist said:
All we have to do is replace Obama. ... We are not auditioning for fearless leader. We don't need a president to tell us in what direction to go. We know what direction to go. We want the Ryan budget. ... We just need a president to sign this stuff. We don't need someone to think it up or design it. The leadership now for the modern conservative movement for the next 20 years will be coming out of the House and the Senate.

And for what the R's are looking for in a president: Pick a Republican with enough working digits to handle a pen to become president of the United States. This is a change for Republicans: the House and Senate doing the work with the president signing bills. His job is to be captain of the team, to sign the legislation that has already been prepared.-they only need a president with the digits to hold a pen.

They have the Ryan plan, so they already have the republican policy agenda all mapped out.

I think you are right about linking Romney to Ryan. The new old moderate Romney is now a siamese twin of Tea Party Ryan. That should erase his bump nicely. Simple strategy, and probably effective.

It's the most effective way for Biden to play it, plus it's the truth.

By the way - the above joke is open for anyone to add more to and provide a punchline. That just came off the top of my head - but I am sure I'm not the first to think of it(or maybe I am...) but I'm not feeling ambitious enough to finish it today. Have at it!
