Apologies for insulting your ignorance and irrational bias. the facts are that the economy under Bush was substantially better tha under Obama and the worst month of unemployment under Bush was better than the best month under Obama.

Additional truths for you:
  • the last few months of bush Presidency free fall due to Capital ouflow due to fear of what Obama would do.
  • Bush was a lame duck President his last 2 years and we had a Democrat controlled Congress & Senate so the last 2 years of Bush Presidency were essentially the beginning of the Obama Presidency.
  • Don't be such a racist. Obama's & Pelosi's destructive policies have nothing to do with race.

Default How would the Romney Economy differ from the Bush Economy?

Main difference: it would begin from a lower starting point.

Bush stepped into office with a prosperous America at peace. He left office with America mired in two stupid, counterproductive middle east wars and the worst economy in generations.

Should Romney win next month, he'll be handed an America that is in much better shape today than it was four years earlier, but diminished from where it was in 2000.

Pretty rational, you sure you're a Democrat/Liberal? Only debate is that the economy was falling when Bush was leaving office but Obama & the Dems who controlled both houses made it much much worse by opening up the checkbook to pay off their buddies on Wall Street to saddle my kids & future grandkids with a $6 Trillion debt.

Just a few notes, we were attacked while Bush was President. The decision of Bush and the Dems in Congress to attack Iraq was idiotic and immoral and costly in terms of lives & money. Bush compounded the problem by continuing in Iraq and now Obama has made it worse by continuing in Afghan and continuing the payouts to Pakistan, Egypt, Isreal, etc.

No one is answering the question, and that is why Romney does not deserve to be elected. He must specifically outline what he will do that is not the deregulated, govern for the rich, war for democracy approaches of Bush. We all know what led us where we are, and it was not Obama. That is a bald faced lie. Obama is trying to get the country rolling again, and he is, even with almost no help from the GOP. The worst you can say about hims is that the recovery did not occur as quickly as we'd all like. But it was a HUGE recession.

Go ahead with your anyone but Obama arguments, but most of the country knows only too well the outcome of GOP policies. They breed inquality, instability, allow our infrastructure to crumble, weaken environmental and social protections, and lower our stature in the world. Romney is taking the cynical approach that by discrediting Obama, he does not have to do the real thinking to provide a new vision for America. Without that, he will lose.

I'm only a Democrat/Liberal to the RWNJs on this forum.

In all likelihood, I was voting GOP before many posters here were even born. My family was Republican for generations. None of us are now. The GOP has become willfully stupid and irrationally angry and fearful.

In my newfound independence, I oppose stupidity. Particularly in the arena of public policy. The Democrats arren't my party of choice, but they haven't embraced stubborn foolishness.

Can Romney attribute any success he had in Massachusetts to a highly dominate Democratic congress?

So if Romney adopted the Bush econmomic policies, we would do about 10 times better than we've done under Obama.
With these great GWB stats, I am surprised the RNC did not showcase Bush. Instead they did not invite GWB at all.
