From Boston.com, they are saying Romney's attorney is "taking no position" on the case. I need to check up on my lawyer speak but that doesn't seem like a strong attempt to stop it.
He isn't trying to stop it, but Tom Stemberg is. It may mean that Romney really doesn't care and there's nothing there, but I wouldn't take that statement at face value. Romney really can't fight to stop it himself, because then it would look like he has something to hide and he wants it covered up. His best PR move is to say he isn't involved, and then to have Tom Stemberg fight tooth and nail to keep it sealed.
"While Romney was governor of my state, Massachusetts, the debt burden per capita was the highest in the nation. He raised or created more than 1,000 taxes and fees on people across Massachusetts, while 278 wealthy residents in the state got a tax break. And Massachusetts plummeted to 47th out of 50 in job creation" senator Kerry
What does it say that the people who know Mitt Romney best trust him least?
Any person who speaks against Mitt Romney based on the idea of debt burden is a hypocrit.
Quoting John Kerry on that subject is akin to quoting Attilla the Hun on the subject of the evils of invadint other nations.
I'm in a non-competitive state; Obama will win big. Still, besides all the other races to vote in, every vote for a 3rd party is a small message that the 2 major candidates aren't good enough. Though I'm voting for Johnson, why not take a few minutes and vote for any 3rd party candidate.
I'm in Ohio which is a swing state. I'm voting 3rd party. You're absolutely right. It's time to send a message that the politicians work for us, and not the other way around!
"Don't worry he won't be president. So far got both my Mother and Sister in Law to vote for Gary Johnson..Me and my wife will vote for him on election day."
A vote for Johnson is a guaranteed vote for obama.
You won't be voting for GJ you will be voting for Obama.
You will be voting for Obama and all he stands for!!
If I could vote (not a US citizen), I would. At the very least I'd be voting on a few state and county ballot initiatives like Question 6 which would legalize gay marriage in Maryland (I'd be voting yes since I'm not stuck in the stone age).
Wouldn't this have been settled two decades ago then?
Really, we know very little about this issue yet. In any event, it's the issue itself that is coming up, whether it was resolved, even if unsatisfactorily to some parties, or not.
I don't think it is a conspiracy either, any more than 50,000,000 different people voting for Romney (or 47,000,000 different people voting for Obama) on Nov. 6, 2012 is a "conspiracy". When the same thing happens multiple times in separate areas, it is simply different people having the same idea and coming to the same conclusion.
Personally it sounds to me like the ex-wife still has an axe to grind, and along with Allred and other liberals they are buying her story.
