Is the Electoral College realistic in today's voting? Personally I think it is antiquated and votes should be counted on the popular vote.

Republicans are suddenly finding Jesus on this issue as they look at the electoral map.

I'm fine with doing away with it, but not because it would temporarily benefit one party.

Do away with it. We should be electing people according to who gets the most votes since that is what we want in other countries.

no, keep the electoral college. otherwise a few population centers will decide who is president in the end. personally i dont want LA, chicago, new york, and san francisco telling me who the president is going to be.

I have never liked the electoral college system. Truthfully, it makes no sense to me.

With everything being computerized these days, there's no reason for every vote not to count. Plus counting votes would encourage people to vote. My state is RED so really, there's no reason for me to waste my time and gas.

It is an antiquated system that needs to go. I sincerely hope Romney wins the popular vote and Obama the electoral college as to see heads explode and finally a consensus in reforming the Constitution.

I like the idea of the electoral college when it helps my guy, when it works against me, it must be done away with - for that year.

^^^This is the reason we need to keep the electoral college.
