Obama is up 60K in Florida and 50K in Virginia with mainly Democratic counties left to count. National popular vote is now in Obama's column with West coast population going to keep moving that up and up.

Every minute Romney keeps America up is going to just trash his Legacy and damage the image of the GOP as a whole for being "sore losers." It has been an hour and half since ALL major networks called the election.

Impressive... the retirement of Byron Dorgan gave the Republicans a prime pickup opportunity there, but it seems they have failed. And if this holds, it appears the Democrats will almost certainly have a net gain of Senate seats.

I've been following this one and next door in Montana, where the votes are slow coming in.
Both were predicted red. These could be Nate Silver's only misses. I hope!

One thing to consider. In another four years, the white share of the electorate will drop yet another 2-3%, just like it does every four years. If the Republican Party wants to win another Presidential election, it absolutely has to appeal to Hispanics, at the very least, and probably to African-Americans as well.

The shifting demographics of this nation are killing the GOP in Presidential politics, and every election cycle the numbers get worse and worse for them.

To start with, deal with immigration by supporting real, comprehensive, practical reform. Or continue to lose Presidential elections.

It is that simple.

Romney set a clear line in the sand by targeting a specific demographic throughout his campaign.

I appreciate your graciousness. Any crassness I have shown previously is me simply jabbing at others whose views aren't as refined as yours.

However, I my point is not that you change the entire platform, just small tweaks. I say this because this is the actual changing point. This is just a numbers perspective. You will no longer have the numbers going forward to win nationally if you do not tweak your direction.
