She would make history like Obama did. She would be the first woman president, and the first black woman president elected. How's that?

Condi has the chops. The big question is, will the republican party nominate her if her girlfriend comes along with the package..?

I don't understand this fixation with Condoleeza Rice. Why on Earth anyone thinks that the GOP is going to nominate a self-described "mildly pro-choice" candidate is beyond me. And when has either party last nominated a candidate who has never held elective office? Not since 1952 -- and here's some breaking news: Eisenhower's stature as Supreme Allied Commander in Europe is just a wee bit more impressive than Rice's association with the epic debacle otherwise known as the Bush Administration.

Finally, there's the fact that blacks do not flock to vote for other blacks just because they're black. Check out statewide races in Maryland (Senate), Ohio (Senate) and Pennsylvania (Governor) in 2006. All three races featured a black Republican against a white Democrat. What happened? All three Democrats won, winning huge supermajorities of the black vote in the process because, surprise, surprise, blacks vote on the issues and not on skin tone.

Nope. She can't win either. Try again.

Problem with Condi is that no one really knows what the hell she believes in. Moreover, anyone with half a brain has to suspect that she's a closet liberal. I know i do.

The GOP would never support a Condi campaign. Just like they didn't support Ron Paul.

Might sound great but she has no interest in politics, so I guess it is a moot point.

OldGringo, Condi is nothing like Ron Paul..

Never claimed they were similar in any way.

But the GOP's lack of enthusiasm for both is much the same.

What positions has she taken that make her attractive as a Republican and conservative candidate?

She would not win the GOP nomination, but she'd win the general if she was somehow nominated by the GOP.

Kinda like Gary Johnson or Ron Paul, they'd be able to win all GOP votes and they'd be able to steal independents and even some Democrats/Libertarians with their views.
