If she won the GOP nomination, all the GOP sheep would automatically vote for her, so that's 40%. Then she'd win a small portion of blacks and women who normally are loyal to the Democrats, so that's like 45-50%, and essentially the win right there.
Baseless assumption number one:
The base will turnout 100% for a pro-choice, pro-affirmative action single black woman. Frankly, it's embarrassing that anyone is foolish enough to make such a laughably absurd assumption.

Condi Rice was the only member of the Bush administration to emerge relatively unscathed, but she was a pretty weak Sec. of State, and has no stomach for the trials of a campaign. She came from the world of academia, and was mightly glad to go back to it.
I don't think the Republicans could lure her back into public life under any circumstances. Since her departure, Rice has never worked much for the party. She's all done.
Thinking that she would win an election for President is just another pipe dream. The only thing in her favor is she wasn't hated as much as the rest of the Bush mob, and that's several steps below Mitt as a winning candidate.
Look, i've got nothing against Rice, but i don't get all the Republican love for her. They don't even know what she believes in.
Wasn't that at the heart of Romney's candidacy? A blank slate for them to project their ideal candidate on (mixed metaphor, sorry) - it appears the only way to get the Republicans to follow your lead is to be very, very vague about actual positions beyond "taxes bad, guns nice, more Jesus!".
I don't understand this fixation with Condoleeza Rice. Why on Earth anyone thinks that the GOP is going to nominate a self-described "mildly pro-choice" candidate is beyond me. And when has either party last nominated a candidate who has never held elective office? Not since 1952 -- and here's some breaking news: Eisenhower's stature as Supreme Allied Commander in Europe is just a wee bit more impressive than Rice's association with the epic debacle otherwise known as the Bush Administration.
Finally, there's the fact that blacks do not flock to vote for other blacks just because they're black. Check out statewide races in Maryland (Senate), Ohio (Senate) and Pennsylvania (Governor) in 2006. All three races featured a black Republican against a white Democrat. What happened? All three Democrats won, winning huge supermajorities of the black vote in the process because, surprise, surprise, blacks vote on the issues and not on skin tone.
