As we have begun to incorporate candidate experience into the model, our initial sense is this: Republicans may have a far better chance of winning control of the Senate than we or other analysts previously thought. Here is a preliminary estimate: The GOP could have as much as a 4 in 5 chance of controlling the chamber.

According to Sides, the most likely outcome is Democrats controlling between 46 and 49 seats; "in nearly one-third of simulations, Democrats control 48 or 49 seats, suggesting that if future events break in their favor — for example, President Obama becomes more popular — their chances of controlling a narrow majority could improve," concludes Sides.
Link: Republicans have a better than 80 percent chance of winning the Senate

Well, this is interesting...

Yeah, and Romney had a 76.8376% chance of winning the presidency right up until election night as he watched Ohio, PA, and WI reveal themselves to be overwhelmingly in support for President Obama.

Romney was never winning. The Republicans ARE winning the Senate.

I can't believe the Democrats fell into the Nate Silver trap. How embarrassing and foreseeable.

Not there yet... November is a long time away..... and the Obama controlled media can do a lot to help him between now & then.

They are shifting to minimum wage (income inequality) & easing immigration.

How fresh will the Obama Care fiasco still be? We'll see..

Economy will have a lot to do with it and it is still a huge question mark at this point.

Republicans should be CAUTIOUSLY optimistic.

where do you get some of your wild ideas? Romney at best was slightly ahead of Obama maybe for a week and in a couple of nothing polls. Do I think it is an 80% chance of a pick up for the Republicans? No, I think that is wishful thinking, but they do stand a good chance. I know how hard that is for you to accept, so of course, you wont' accept it.

Despite CNN and other democratic media outlets failing to report it, the follow up investigations are now revealing that voter fraud was out of control in most all swing states. NC released their study and they are not even completed yet and they determined so far, that over 48,000 democrats voted for Obama at least twice, if not up to five times. Other states are reflecting even worse voter fraud.

80% chance of winning the Senate? That sounds like the landslide you guys predicted Romney to win by. I wonder how President Romney is doing after that landslide win.

where are you getting your ideas? I doubt anyone, even Karl Rove really thought Romney was a shoe in.
