In a recent news conference about feeding some prisoners bread and water for a week, as punishment for trashing government property while in jail, he said he is giving it a serious thought to run for governor of AZ.

Two observations:
1) I'm not surprised that some people are gullibly swallowing Joe Arpaio's "I need some attention!" comments.
2) "Sheriff Joe"? The bizarre personalization/hero-worship continues, from the same poster who can't call Ron Paul anything but "Doctor Paul" - I find that fawning idolization fascinating, not to mention sad.

Are people in Arizona stupid enough to elect him or do they just not care who runs for governor?
I agree. There are always talks and hints of who will and will not run for what; 1/2 never come about. I remember when the news was J.C. Watts was considering a run for govn of OK, the news was very short lived or how many times do we get to hear what Trump is running for this time? .
