It's still pretty early in the cycle but recent polls have Hillary whomping the heck out of the GOP in almost all the demographics except older while men. Who does the GOP have that will stop the democratic juggernaut from a far bigger win than 2012? No one is standing out as a viable contender at this stage.

Dont know. Dont have a theory.

What I do hold dear in my heart is that the Republicans will all find some way to shoot themselves in the foot and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

No Presidency. No control of the Senate. Possibly a loss of the House.

We shall see, but I have faith. Republican candidates in general are morons and will find ways to sabotage themselves.

I think Christie is the only one who could appeal to a wide enough segment of the population and states to have any chance in hell, and I think he has irrevocably damaged himself with his scandals. In other words there is no GOP candidate with a chance against Hillary.

it is far too early to even speculate on who will run for president in 2016, let alone who will win. remember that obama wasnt even on the radar until late 2007, and back then hillary was supposed to be a lock for the democrats. same with ronald reagan in 1979, he came from the back of the pack to win in 1980. lets ignore anything to do with who is going to run in 2016, and concentrate on the 2014 election cycle instead.

Well, he seems a lot smarter than his brother But probably not far-right enough for the Tea Party.

No one.

Rand Paul is their best shot. I disagree with his ideology but I respect his willingness to address issues facing this country rather than blindly pointing the finger at Democrats. He also takes an honest look at his own party's demographic issues, and has attempted to reach out to minority communities to "sell" his platform. Again, I wouldn't vote for him but he seems like their best candidate. Respectable guy (by political standards at least).

The Tea Party candidate was not the nominee in 2012.

Jeb Bush as a chance to win in the primaries and thats what really matters.

The moderates will have one or maybe 2 candidates while the Tea Party may have 4 or 5.

I don't see why. Within the lifetimes of most people reading this, men named Bush have won three Presidential elections (and been on the ticket for two more).
