I like the arc of this thread, considering Walker has won.

I remember back to the municipal union war. The taking heads (the one I remember was Rachel Maddow) said that Walker would be toast. They tried to recall him. That failed. Now he's outright won reelection. This goes to show how powerful the unions really are (ie, not very.) Hopefully this will encourage other governors and legislatures to take them on and cripple them.

I think this was the biggest defeat of the night for the democrats. this is at best a purple state. i say its a blue state. for this man to have won 3 elections, and done what he has done to the unions. that cuts right to the core of the democratic party

The Left/unions must be in shock. They have poured MILLIONS of dollars over the last 3 years to defeat him...and have come up empty at every turn. Their hatred is palpable. He is my pick for 2016, has been for a while. And just think the lengths the dems/left will go to in trying to destroy him.

This really is the beauty of social media. Fools, idiots, paid shills, sycophants, all get exposed. Sooner or later.

How does that crow taste?

"CNN) - Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker won re-election Tuesday, according to a CNN projection, positioning the conservative hero for a potential shot at the Republican presidential nomination in 2016.

Walker held off a challenge from Democratic businesswoman and Madison school board member Mary Burke, keeping hold of the governor's office in a state that typically votes for Democratic presidential candidates.
The race was largely -- once again -- a referendum on Walker."

Nothing to run on? He only took the state from a $3 BILLION deficit into a surplus, cut taxes, created jobs and......oh yes, the most important thing....crushed the unions.

That usually comes with massive cuts to services, normally in the form of education. Wisconsin's job growth was abysmal compared to the national average.

A surplus government budget is not a good thing. Government is not a business.

I found it odd that 2/3 of Wisconsin voters favor minimum wage hikes, yet Scott Walker doesn't believe in minimum wage. Great job, Wisconsin.
