There is always more to the story, than sycophants are willing to divulge.

One of the benefits of Gov Walker's passage of Act 10, is that the near monopoly WEA Trust enjoyed requiring locals boards of education to purchase their coverage through WEA Trust, is broken. The lower cost of health coverage benefited every tax payer of the local school districts, who could now competitively bid their local boards's health coverage. Why? The school districts pay the majority of the premium cost.

I'd say that is a big something for Walker to run on.

Behind the rhetoric: The WEA Trust and school health care costs | PolitiFact Wisconsin

Quote:
WEA Trust’s market dominance led to accusations that the company was charging unnecessarily high rates that were a burden on taxpayers, given that school districts -- and not school employees -- pay the lion’s share of health insurance costs.

Those accusations were put to the test after Walker signed Act 10. Many school districts dropped WEA Trust, or they stayed with the company, but negotiated less expensive deals.

Indeed, about a year after the law was signed, WEA Trust said about a third of its business went away, resulting in a loss of 8 percent of its revenue, or nearly $70 million.

Walker said the new freedom to choose carriers saved 52 school districts roughly $30 million, many of them by dropping or renegotiating their deals with WEA Trust.

The study also points to a Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance study, which found the overall cost for K-12 employee health insurance in Wisconsin decreased by about $91 million, or 24 percent, in 2011-12.

Actually you started the thread based upon a youtube video put out by a political opponent, not at all based upon facts.

just an example of Ytubes not being worthy of anyone's trust. Anyone can make one, and claim whatever they want. As for people thinking unions are the answer; here in AR. teachers are dropping out of unions or not joining period every year and I am talking about in the really good school districts. I don't know about how they feel in the rural regions of the state. There was an article about this in our paper just a couple of days ago.

Spoke to some of my favorite Pittsburgh liberals over the last weekend. They agree that Corbett has been a disaster to their cause and plan to vote him out. BUT, they expressed disgust at having Wolf shoved down their throats by the party, because the feel Wolf is an outright crook and are very distressed at that choice. Wolf has campaigned on an aspect of education reform that was a disaster 30 years ago in California. Now if a few liberals would rather have Wolf in office over Corbett under their assessment of Wolf, why would a similar attitude benefiting Walker in WI be a surprise.
Im not sure what friends you talked to, but Wolf was not shoved down their throats by the party. In Fact Robert McCord got the most endorsements from sitting Democratic officials in the state of Pennsylvania. He was running against a current congressman and State Treasurer.

I know of so few voters from either party who feel the Dems have advanced the economy as well as the GOP would have over especially the last 3 years, will they vote accordingly in November, probably not.
Then you havent talked to to many Democratic voters then.

Scott Walker has nothing to run on so now he is doing what those who have nothing to show, do. Instill fear into the voters. This is the latest pathetic ad by Walker using fear to garner votes.

Default Reading this Thread.

I see the Teacher Unions, the Chair of the DNC Debbie Shultz's throwing everything at Gov. Walker because they fear his success. Gov Walker has survived several attempts to force him out of off and those who have pursued this, the Unions and Dems, in fact have no credibility because of their comments and actions.

U Tube, who cares!

Yeah, I heard a similar radio version the other day. Gun rights have been a totally moot issue in Wisconsin for years. No one is taking our guns away and there haven't been any proposals by Burke to curb gun rights.

Would you include Obama in this? He wrote a check with his mouth to the entire nation and miserably failed.
