There have been a few East Coast residents who have suggested that since Nevada is originally a Spanish word, it should be pronounced that way. One has to wonder then, when they speak English, do they also say ...

Lows-an-heh-les (Los Angeles) ::: Sawn-frawn-see-skow (San Francisco) ::: Toe-lay-doe (Toledo)

Tuck-sun (Tucson) ::: Caw-lee-four-nee-ah (California) ::: New Meh-he-coe (New Mexico)

Floor-ee-dah (Florida) ::: Coe-low-raw-doe (Colorado) ::: Moan-tawn-yuh (Montana)

::: Coo-buh (Cuba)

... while almost all others Americans would instead use the correct standard anglicized versions of these places?
