Is anyone else disappointed in the warmed over group of far left/far right leftovers running so far?

We need new ideas, new leaders in this country.

There are plenty of us around, but I think the partisans tend to dominate these boards and do the most posting. Moderates are getting on with their lives.

I'm a moderate. I think Hillary is a moderate too though the left wants to push her into the corner.

Exactly.

The extremes are deeply rooted in their beliefs and tend to be the most vocal. The moderates are tired of getting attacked by both sides and not being able to keep up with the non-logical, heated, and emotionally charged arguments.

The smart ones focus their energy somewhere else.

The moderates are now the Democrats. In recent years Republicans have ceded the middle and moved to the far right, accusing moderate Republicans of being RINOs. With Obama Derangement Syndrome they have been fleeing their own long held beliefs and ides (ie individual mandate) because Obama also supports them.

Default Opting out?

With all of the gnashing of teeth, foaming at the mouth, circular thinking, finger pointing- there is no place for a moderate at election time.

People are voting straight up and down D vs R- who is lucky enough to find a candidate that they are in 100% agreement with on every.single. issue? The entire process is shot.

Can you tell I've been reading the political threads? It's exhausting and depressing!

This. Obama and Hillary are very moderate centrists - both friends to big corporations and the millitary industrial complex. The republicans have sold their soul to the far right. The far left has no real party. Those of us who actually are "far left" want someone like Warren or Sanders, not Hillary. If you think Hillary is far left you need to put down the Fox News and buy a clue.

The LWNJs make me smile. They've deluded themselves into thinking today's Democrat Party is "moderate." That's right - these people actually believe that the party of Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama, Harry Reid, Alan Grayson, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, Sheila Jackson Lee, Dick Durbin, etc. is "moderate." To top it all off, they think the people who want to do something other than business as usual (i.e. address $18T in debt, reform unsustainable entitlement programs, streamline and reduce the size and scope of government) are the real crazies.

The media has done a great job brainwashing the sheep on the far left.
