No because white people are not the minority yet. Minorities very much tend to vote for candidates they can relate to and who place priority on issues they find important. There really are no "white" issues. For example, here in Orange County California, several of the cities with the larger number of Asians have Asian mayors. Tri Ta, mayor of Westminster, California was the first Vietnamese American mayor elected in the US and Westminster just so happens to be filled with tons of Vietnamese. Same with Garden Grove and their Vietnamese mayor Bao Nguyen. Just coincidence that cities with large Vietnamese populations voted in Vietnamese mayors in landslide victories right? please tell me again how minorities don't tend to vote for candidates of their same race

Hillary isn't a minority so why is it that the GOP should have to run a minority? Shouldn't we pick the best candidate for the job anyway? I am so sick of identity politics and this adoration of minorities these days.

Nominating a minority because they are a minority, or have a vagina, goes against everything most of us believe. Republicans refuse to indulge in identity politics.

May the best candidate win.

That's how disconnected these people are from reality.

The problem then, even for a moderate Republican, is that they have to drag themselves back from the fringe right primary. But by then, they've made insane comments to appease their insane base, and the majority of Americans simply don't jive with those types of talking points. They have to own them going forward.

What a balancing act it must be to win a GOP primary and then try to talk like a normal human being to the rest of the country.
Assuming you are correct, now shift focus to Hillary. She's already going for the "I'm here to help the little guy" and "prosperity for americans".....and her track record is as corporate, off-shoring as they come along with all the past empty rhetoric like "taking those profits" lol.

In short, you are so screwed if THAT is going to be the person that saves you from the reps. lmfao.

P.S. Are you too young to remember 2008? Um, don't forget...Hillary supporters are racists.

LOL. Even using your own logic, it won't help Cruz or Rubio.

How many Chinese/Korean/Japanese mayors were elected in the Vietnamese district? How often do the Vietnamese voted in for someone who kinda look like them but is not exactly?

Cruz and Rubio are Cubans. How many Mexicans will vote for Cruz and Rubio just because he kind of look like them?

Oh wait, I'm sure your response is somewhere along the line of, "I don't care. All Latinos are the same to me!!"

I remember the conservatives were saying in 2008 that Blacks and Latinos don't get along and none of the Latinos will vote for Obama. Yeah.

Race just isn't your thing, mate.

You dont get it. Both Mexicans and Cubans are Hispanic and Hispanics are still a minority. A young candidate of Hispanic descent will appeal to a Hispanic voter much more than a rich old white woman will. Especially if Rubio or Cruz start pandering to the Latinos as the Democrats do and playing on current issues important to Latinos. it will be game over before it even starts.

See, didn't I say you would come back with an "All Hispanics are the same!" logic?

Not only do I get it. I actually knew what you'd say before you even said it.

So you think the average Hispanic voter is going to vote for a rich, near 70 year old white woman who has no clue at all what being a minority is like over a 43 year old man of Hispanic descent who is much more in touch with issues they deem important? LOL

Hispanics (at least those from Mexican) roots vote Democrat as most minorities do. Hillary is pro-amnesty and a Democrat. A perfect match for them. They will throw their own such as Cruz and Rubio under the bus for the above.

Just a thought.
I would be honored to since it represents our flag but so does Old Glory represent it so what's the point?
