The thing I find odd is, Ron Paul made these same predictions, and was right, but no one took him seriously.

How many are taking Sanders seriously now? Just think of all the headaches we could have avoided if we had only listened to the kooks?

He's wrong as far as hedge fund lending being the cause. Could argue that it made it worse but he's talking about a symptom. Everything to do with bypassing the free market in housing and lowering standards. Easy money.

He's almost says government shouldn't interfere in the free market at all but comes up short, as socialists do, and blames the 1 percent for manipulating the economy.

The 2008 crash was caused by banks issuing sub-prime mortgages, and the selling of "mortgage backed securities". Sanders was not even discussing anything that caused the 2008 crash.
