If the person is qualified, I don't think his religion matters. Same as when Kennedy ran for President.

Religion doesn't factor into my voting habits unless that person uses religion to encroach on me. If I would otherwise vote for a Muslim, then their faith isn't going to stop me. Saying that they *wouldn't* vote for a Muslim is certainly cause to be concerned, though.

I'd also vote for someone who believes in a book that says I'm going to burn in hell for eternity. That would be Christians, btw.

I bet there are more liberals that use Christianity as a negative litmus test than there are conservatives who use Islam as a negative litmus test.

what the heck are you talking about? You really think the Republicans as a whole run on social issues more than fiscal issues and the safety of our country? I think you need to think this through a little closer.
