I would not vote for an Islamic fundamentalist, nor for a Christian fundamentalist. I don't want someone who governs according to their religious laws, regardless of which religion.
Perfect answer. I completely agree. And there are a number of Christian fundamentalists who are currently running on the Republican side who should make people who are against religious extremists very nervous. Luckily, they won't get anywhere near the nomination...this time around, at least.

I am not surprised by the results of this poll in light of the demographics of this website/forum.

Among normal people, 60% would vote for a well-qualified Muslim as President, per Pew Research.

When did George Bush ever argue that he was "above the law?" Obama? Please back up that statement with some evidence.

How do you figure? His mother was agnostic. His father was a non-practicing Muslim who he had little contact with. He attended a Catholic school while living in Indonesia and then lived with his non-practicing Christian grandparents from age 10 onward. He was a well-known member of the Trinity United Church of Christ well before he ever thought of running for President. If anything, he was born agnostic, as his mother seemed pretty secular.

And you get this from where? That's right, Obama himself who has always told the truth right? I don't believe ANYTHING about the man's past, he's the Manchurian candidate. I bet you also believe he was honor material in college without ever seeing a single grade. I also bet you think he was some legal professor who taught law school too. He wasn't.

There are many people who can corroborate Obama's life prior to becoming president; both friends and foes. US citizens can testify to going to school with him, working with him, knowing his parents, knowing his residences. To fake an entire life and become President would be near impossible. If you want to think his birth might seem shady, OK, but past the age of 21, his life is pretty well-dcumented and can be verified by people who encountered him during these years, and based on that, all signs point to him being Christian. Even if his secret plan was to pretend to be a Christian for 30 years, ascend to the Presidency, and then institute Sharia Law or blow up Israel, he's running out of time.

Don't bother. Birthers are incapable of intelligent thought. It's a waste of time to try.
