I saw Trump's signature today for the first time in an email I received. He has a cramped and very angular signature. Those two things jump out at you immediately. I wanted to see if his handwriting had been analyzed BEFORE he decided to run for President so I could be assured of no political bias by the graphologist.

First I looked up cramped and sharp angular writing and found this:

Cramped Writing: When the words are cramped they indicate people who are extremely expressive. Those with this type of writing are cautions about money matters, bargain a great deal and are suspicious by nature.

Angular Writing: This is distinguished from 'Block' and 'Round' types of writing. People who write this way are full of energy and life. They want to lead people but are aggressive and desire quick results. They do not take criticism well. If the writing is too angular it shows a person as money-minded. If moderately angular the writer could be wise, loving and experienced.

Graphology : Study of Handwriting based on size and level of writing and Significance of Angle

His current signature is more cramped and very angular. We all know he talks with his hands, is money minded, doesn't take criticism well, desires quick results, is aggressive, likes to bargain and wants to lead.

I found this 2004 analysis of his signature. It looks very much the same as his current signature except now the letters are more close together.

The Write Event: Donald Trump

If you find any analysis of the signatures of other candidates from before they were running for president, please post them.

That's very interesting. I got an email from the campaign and noticed it was "unusual". I'll look around and see if I can scare up something from "google" on the other candidates.

In high school, my friend had her grandfather analyse my handwriting.

Found this "quickie" one. Haven't read through it yet: http://www.politico.com/magazine/sto...didates-213161

Interesting.

I read about Ron Paul's signature analysis once, says The script slants moderately to the right, a sign of friendliness and an outgoing nature. The tapering of certain letters indicates the laudable trait of tact.

Rick Santorum, analysis says His goals are practical, combined with a strong drive and a high energy level.

I always liked Rick santorum for some reasons.

Graphology is a pseudo science. Just as scientific as horoscopes, homeopathy and palm readings.

How Graphology Fools People

Many forensic techniques developed in crime labs to aid investigators, and research into their limits or scientific validity was never a priority.

Graphology is not perfect and certainly has flaws. To say it is pseudo science is not really fair.

Handwriting is a complex motor skill that is the combination of sensory, neurological, and physiological impulses.

FBI has used handwriting examination to meet the Challenges of Science and the law. (although it is never perfect)

I've always wanted to be a FBI Forensic Artist and Illustrator. Handwriting examination is useful, just to let you know.

Pseudo science? You're being too kind. You all probably believe in Zoltar. The fortune teller machine from the movie Big, with Tom Hanks.

I think it would be interesting to hear about Mr. Bart Baggett's opinion about Trump's handwriting.

Comparisons of writing samples take into consideration a wide variety of handwriting characteristics including word and letter spacing, slant or slope, speed, pen position, use of capitalization, embellishments, legibility, use of punctuation, and proportion of letters and other attributes.

It will be interesting to find out the mood and character of the writer. Very interesting read indeed

Yeah, the signature isn't everything. When I was 24 years old a magazine did a handwriting analysis (good and bad things) of mine from a page they asked readers to write. I wish I had saved it. I was surprised at how thorough it was.

Forensic document examination is not the same as graphology. They are two very different things. The first one FDE is concerned with authorship and uses a variety of scientific processes and methods. Graphology claims handwriting can indicate a person's psychological state and personality characteristics. It's the same as thinking that you have certain personality traits because you were born a Gemini.
