Thanks for the reminder about Rudy's comedic past. When viewed along with his more recent appearances it makes us realize his buffoonery isn't really a new thing. It has always been there. Maybe a buffoon is all he ever really wanted to be. I hope so for his sake because that's what he will be remembered as after he's gone.
